Tree day

You are cordially invited to the traditional Tree Day celebration in Central Park, which will begin with a communal tree planting in the park.

When: Thursday, October 17, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Where: Near Stodůlecký Pond in Central Park

The event is primarily intended for preschool children and young students from elementary school. Children will learn about different tree species found in their local environment through fun activities. They can try various puzzles and games, discover what bats eat, learn how forests are cultivated, which animals live in the forest, and much more.

The event is organized as part of the Local Agenda 21 by the City District of Prague 13 and the Environmental Department, in cooperation with the Forests of the Capital City of Prague, the Youth Center of Prague 13, and the Municipal Library of Prague – Stodůlky Branch, as well as Česon, the Center for Nature Conservation Popularization "U studánky poznání" operated by CCBC, and ČSOP. The event is held under the patronage of Deputy Mayor Marcela Plesníková. The activity is supported by the "Family and Senior-Friendly Municipality" grant from NDT 2024.
